Sub Products: Metal Pins: Process

Imitation Cloisonné (Epola)
  • Epola is an economical alternative to Cloisonné.
  • It has a similar process to cloisonné except the recessed areas are filled with brilliant colored resin.
  • It is not as hard as cloisonné, but it looks shinier, reveals better details, and PMS color matching is manageable.
  • Metal lines are required to separate different colors. Silkscreen colors may be added to enhance small details.

Die-Struck Soft Enamel
  • The mould and outline cutting processes are similar to Cloisonné and imitation cloisonné.
  • The recessed areas are filled with soft enamel.
  • PMS colors can be matched.
  • Metal lines are required to separate different colors. Clear epoxy is recommended to protect the enamel from color fading and cracking.
  • Silkscreen cannot be combined with die-struck soft enamel due to the uneven surface between the metal and enamel color.

Photo-Etched Soft Enamel
  • The design is transferred from a photographic negative onto a thin brass metal. An acid reaction process then etches the surface of the metal.
  • Soft enamel is inserted into the recessed areas.
  • No inside holes are allowesd.
  • PMS colors can be matched.
  • Metal lines are required to separate different colors. Silkscreen colors may be added to enhance small details.
  • Clear epoxy is recommended to protect the enamel from color fading and cracking.

Silkscreen Printing
  • This process is designed to complement other processes that have areas hard to fill with enamel colors because no metal lines are required to separate different colors.
  • It can achieve a close duplication of the original color artwork.
  • PMS colors are used for reference.
  • Clear Epoxy is recommended to protect the surface from scratching.

Offset Printing
  • Customer’s artwork, films, or graphic files are used to produce films for each color (C.M.Y.K.). Then, one printing plate for each color is produced for the design.
  • This computerized printing process may reproduce any colored artwork or photos.
  • There are no metal lines to separate the colors.
  • Clear epoxy is recommended to protect the surface from color fading and scratching.

Cast pins
  • The casting process is recommended for intricate shapes with numerous cutouts and three-dimensional designs.
